ABOUT US
The Ramana Maharshi Centre for
Learning (RMCL) was established in 1979 as a non-profit,
non-sectarian registered society. Its objective is to
create greater awareness of the timeless heritage and
culture of India, with particular focus on the life and
teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. The Centre
draws its strength and inspiration from Sri Ramana
Maharshi. The Govt. of India has recognized it as one of
the premier cultural organizations of India.
The Centre is closely linked to Sri
Ramanasramam, Tiruvannamalai and has the full support of
its President,Sri V.S.Ramanan.The Asram website is

The activities of the 'Ramana
Maharshi Centre for Learning' are multifaceted. Its
Shrine and Meditation Centre at Bangalore, is a
spiritual oasis. In order to achieve its objectives it
is publishing a monthly magazine 'The Ramana Way'. From
the month of March 2005, the Censre has launched a youth
magazine as a part of its programme for awakening youth
power.
It has published 100 books, nearly 50
books of which are in English on Sri Ramana's life and
teachings. It has a music wing that constitutes of a
light classical devotional music ensemble called 'Ramananjali'
and has produced more than 150 pre-recorded cassettes
and 30 audio CDs. Besides, the Centre brings out
cassettes and audio CDs of Karnatik Classical Music
concerts. Through the dance wing Ramana Nritya Kala
Ranga, the Centre has produced and presented nearly 50
dance ballets. The other divisions are free
heritage/research library, free audio/visual library,
free cultural activities section. The Centre regularly
conducts workshops and cultural festivals on the life
and teachings of Sri Ramana.
The Centre has
completed its Ramana Maharshi Heritage project recently.
This has been recognized as a National Project and
donations to it have been fully exempted in the hands of
the donors for tax relief. The Ramana Maharshi National
Memorial for Heritage is its latest division. This is to
be the focal point of education through e-mail on
India's heritage with particular reference to Sri Ramana
Maharshi.
