Contributions

Donations may be given for a specific ongoing or forthcoming project or to the Centre for its corpus fund for the maintenance of the Centre and its various activities.

I would like to contribute to:

You can also contribute to:

  • Support weekly satsangs: One satsang Rs.300

  • Contribute to the upkeep of the shrine: One day Rs.1600 | One week Rs.11,000

Endowments have been created in the following fields:

The minimum amount for an endowment is Rs.10,000/- The amount is kept in fixed deposit and the interest is used for the purpose for which the amount in endowed.

Ongoing Projects

1. The Ramana Way – Monthly Journal

Each issue of the journal costs the Centre Rs.35,000 including the overhead costs. You could support one issue or a part of a journal through your contribution. You could also support the journal indirectly by gifting subscriptions to the journal and by enlisting new membership.

2. Publication of 10 books

To mark the 30th year of the Ramana Maharshi Centre, it is planning to bring out two classics this year (estimated cost Rs.2,50,000 each), 2 paperbacks (estimated cost Rs.50,000 each), and 8 pocketbooks and smaller books that will include a series of children's books (estimated cost Rs.25,000). You could support any one or part of these. Reprints of existing books are also undertaken by the Centre from time to time, (the costs of which range from Rs.15,000 to Rs.50,000).

3. Developing the Centre's Web-site

Annual Projects

1. Cultural Festivals

The Centre conducts one National Seminar and Cultural Festival every year at Bangalore on the life and teachings of Ramana Maharshi. In addition the Centre conducts at least three or four Cultural Festivals annually in Bangalore and other places in India. These are all open to the public free of charge. A minimum cost of Rs.50,000 is incurred on each festival and of about Rs.4,00,000 on the National Seminar and festival.

2. Workshops

The Centre conducts a minimum of three workshops annually. One in Chennai on the second weekend of April, one in Bangalore in the last weekend of June and one in Madurai (in Tamil) on the 16th and 17th of July. While a minimum registration fee of Rs.100/- is collected as being for lunch and tea to ensure sincerity in participation, all other costs are borne by the Centre.
